Monoclonal Antibody Treatment available at CMMC

If you begin to display signs and symptoms of COVID-19 seek treatment early by visiting your primary provider.  Symptoms of COVID-19, may include fever, cough, sore throat, malaise, headache, muscle pain, gastrointestinal symptoms, shortness of breath with exertion, loss of taste/smell.

Treatment for mild-moderate symptomatic individuals, are available at CMMC and may prevent hospitalization due to COVID-19.  Monoclonal antibody treatment is an investigational therapy used to treat mild to moderate symptoms of COVID-19 in non-hospitalized adults and adolescents (12 years of age and older who weigh at least 88 pounds (40 kg)), and who are at high risk for developing severe COVID-19 symptoms or the need for hospitalization.

This is a treatment currently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under an emergency use authorization.  Patients that meet certain criteria are eligible to receive this treatment, this includes a positive Covid 19 test. 

At CMMC monoclonal antibodies are administered through an intravenous infusion.  The infusion takes a total time of 2 hours, this includes time for our nurses to monitor you afterwards.
